TalkStory Productions LLC is a film and television production company that specializes in developing, financing, and producing projects that can be shot in Hawaii and elsewhere.

Jason K. Lau
PRESIDENT
Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Mr. Lau is a product of Punahou School and the University of California, Los Angeles, and has worked in the financial industry for such companies as Dean Witter Reynolds and Bank of Hawaii. He is currently the President of Honowaii Investment Co., an industrial loan company, and the Managing Partner of Lau Enterprises, a Hawaii investment partnership, and BJM Partners, a private equity fund. He has served on the board of directors of Hawaii Angels, an angel investment group, Hawaii Venture Capital Association (HVCA), and the Hawaii International Film Festival (HIFF). He is also on the advisory board for the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Hawaii, the Honolulu Theater for Youth (HTY), and a member of the Producers Guild of America (PGA).


John C. Ching
VICE PRESIDENT & DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT
Mr. Ching has had a passion for the film industry for over 25 years. He is a graduate of Punahou School, Claremont McKenna College, and has obtained an MBA from Pepperdine University. He has worked with several Los Angeles producers and most recently spent his last five years as a post-production coordinator. He has recently moved back to Hawaii to manage TalkStory Productions.


Deborah Y. Lau
BUSINESS MANAGER
Ms. Lau is a graduate of Punahou School and the University of Southern California's Business School. She has worked in the IT departments of Hawaii National Bank and First Hawaiian Bank before joining TalkStory Productions.


Shan W. Steinmark
CONSULTANT
Shan Steinmark, Ph.D., has been enabling national and international leaders to enhance their individual, team and organization effectiveness for over 30 years. As the founder of Strategic Transitions Research, he has collaborated with the diverse pioneers of R&D projects, strategic development initiatives and emerging growth businesses to help translate visions and strategies into successful ventures. Dr. Steinmark has worked with start-ups, turn-arounds and re-vitalizations in a wide range of industries, including energy, financial services, consumer products, telecommunications and bio-technology.
